On Saturday 21 October 2017 we are coming together with the Ham and Petersham Association to plant 200 daffodil bulbs on the grassy areas either side of the entrance to Cedar Heights. Come March and April next year, this planting will provide a bright welcome to those coming down Star and Garter Hill into Petersham, and will hopefully cheer up anybody sat in traffic behind the 65 bus on a wet Wednesday next spring.
If you are free on Saturday, please do come along and help; we will be gathering at The Old Stables, River Lane, Petersham at 10.30am, for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, to fuel the bulb planting. The more of us who come to help, the quicker the bulbs will get into the ground, so even if you have just half an hour to spare, we’d be grateful for it!
If you have any other ideas about corners of the community which could do with some planting up, we’d love to hear about them and see what we can do to help make them bloom. Just email us at our Enquiries email and we’ll be in touch.
