This year the Horti Committee are delighted to be welcoming Rosie Flyne Head Gardener at Chiswick house to talk for this year’s lecture entitled:

Gardening for the future – how Chiswick’s historic gardens continue to grow

Rosie Fyles is Head of Gardens at Chiswick House and Gardens Trust. Having worked in the National Trust for almost 10 years, latterly as Head Gardener of Ham House and Garden, Rosie began her working life in marketing and communications. Known for her wildlife-friendly, climate-conscious approach to developing historic gardens, Rosie has contributed widely to print and broadcast media, including The Sunday Times, Period Living Magazine, Country Homes and Interiors and Wildflower. At Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, Rosie is part of a team leading and innovative approach to inclusivity in gardens through community engagement, free access and a large-scale improvement of facilities while energising the spirit and character of the Grade 1 listed 65-acre gardens. Rosie is a Trustee of Silent Space, a charity that promotes and enables peaceful time in green spaces.

On the 28th September join Charlie McCorriston and Emily Powell-Blyth for a cooking demonstration of Apple Recipes for Long Autumn Evenings.

On the 29th September Join Helen Marriage Volunteer at Kew Gardens on a guided walk round Kew and talk.  Helen is involved in a project looking at flowering times of 100 plants Kew.
